RELIGION
“Religion
is the opiate of the people" is one of the most frequently quoted
statements of Karl Marx. I partially agree. I reason that a strong belief
in some religion or deity brings strength and comfort to face death,
sickness and misfortunes. In the other hand, many crimes and genocides
are perpetrated in name of religion.
Looking the immeasurable cosmos
and the infinitesimal number of creatures under a microscope, and their
interaction, I can not refuse the idea of a Creator.
People are free to interact
with each other. If I find base creatures in my path, I try my best
to stay far away from them. I try to be myself and lets other be as
they want. I am not a judge, far from me. This position belongs just
to the One. I try to be the best as I can and lead by example. I do
not try to convert anybody to my beliefs or type of life. Bounded freedom
is one essential characteristic of the Universe.
Many times, I do not like
what I see. The press and especially the TV desensitize people and make
them believe that you are at a premium if you misbehave. They create
horrendous reality programs showing people at its lowest. People believe
that what they see is the way to be. The bad apples are spoiling their
surroundings. It makes me sad but I remember that bad apples also are
part of the creation.
This drives me to be very choosy
on what I read and watch. I think that I own to myself to be the best
I can and stay away from the vile behavior. I deem as truth that what
you dish out will come around, here or there.
People behavior is diverse
as the number of the people in the world. I do not become mad or offended
when somebody acts badly towards me. I understand that is the nature
of the beast.
If you look at life, you see
that we are mere sojourners in this earth. As visitors, the stopover
is very short. My father says: “In a blink of eye, you find out
you are old”. We need mark positively our stay in this world and
do the maximum of our capacity to better this planet. We need act fast
or it will be too late.
Our biggest adversary is selfishness
that imperils us to see the injustice of our actions and the crooked
path that we may follow. Only the good deeds, knowledge and wisdom can
protect us when the white snow invades our heads, our bones weaken and
our eyes refuse to see.
Religion, it is for me an
individual choice. Justice should be the mentor. I believe in a Creator,
All Powerful. This belief empowers me to go always one leap beyond with
no fears. The Creator already showed me His Graciousness by showering
me with more blessings than I can count.
I am deep gratified and thankful.
Bless be the Almighty
